I'm a chartered Psychologist and registered Sport Psychologist. Prior to Fika, I worked in academia for 13 years, published in a range of journals and provided psychological support to teams, coaches and athletes in a range of high performance environments. I'm passionate about sharing my knowledge of performance psychology with workplace teams and individuals, so that they can be at their best more of the time. After all, regardless of whether we're on a sports pitch or running track, we're all performers! As a research-informed business, I'm responsible for the ensuring Fika's scientific integrity and rigour - I'm definitely happiest when I'm sitting in front of a big data set. When I'm not working I'm either looking after my daughter, swimming, or doing stand-up comedy... 'I used to run cross-country, now I prefer to get the train.' Drop me a message if you'd like to hear more terrible sport-related jokes.
Fika is on a mission to create a better you, better team culture and better places to work. We tackle the team behaviours that can contribute to mental health decline in the workplace and normalise the idea of training our individual and collective mental fitness. Our training platform closes the gap between where you work and how you train. Leading to teams that are better connected, better trust and support each other - especially important for teams adapting to hybrid work.
Widespread in the UK, with over 50 customers, Fika is now in an exciting phase of expansion to the US. We have started the Fika movement to make every day at work a bit better. We do that for our customers and for our staff through our commitment to our own incredible working culture.
